Kalamazoo Valley Community College has a long history of hosting a successful career fair. By teaming up with mLive Media Group and expanding the focus to include dozens of area manufacturers with on-going vacancies, even greater opportunities have been created for both employers and job seekers. The fair is open to Kalamazoo Valley students and the public. More than 100 employers from a variety of fields including health care, manufacturing, business and retail are expected to participate. A panel of guest speakers will talk about career opportunities in the fields of manufacturing and health care. They’ll offer tips for job applicants and more.
Make yourself stand out from the crowd. Believe that you’re the best candidate for the job and use that confidence to sell yourself to your interviewer. Splurge on a fresh haircut, manicure or shave. Invest in a new suit. Even if the expense seems like a luxury, consider it an investment in your future. Looks do matter so be sure to present the best version of yourself.
